Mission Statement

 

        Claremont yacht club is dedicated to maintaining and fostering the tradition of sailing at Claremont yacht club for all ages and levels of experience.  We encourage and proudly develop junior sailors and family participation.  We also recognize the skills and endeavors of all sailors past and present who has proudly served and represented the club at all levels and classes.

Welcome Message from the Rear Commodore of Dinghy Sailing Dean Caple

 

 

Welcome to dinghy sailing at Claremont Yacht Club.  Claremont Yacht club has a long and proud history going back over 100 years and I am proud to be a part of the continuing tradition of sailing at Claremont yacht Club.  I am sure you will find you experiences here at Claremont enjoyable and rewarding.  Dinghy sailing has always been an important part of Claremont Yacht Club and, the starting point for many experienced sailors who over the years who have gone on the compete at the highest levels of sailing or sailed all over the world in yachts both big and small.

We recognize the involvement of juniors in sailing as the next generation who will continue the traditions and development of this great sport. We also acknowledge the parents who also provide the continued financial, moral and logistical support to keep kids outdoors, active and socializing with other kids in an age of many other temptations and distractions available to today’s youth.

Claremont Sailing Club Dinghy Sailing Membership Fees for the 2009 -2010 Season

 

Claremont Yacht club is now offering reduced price dinghy sailing memberships for new members.

 

Senior Dinghy Sailor - $440.00 annual subscriptions, 2 x $60.00 redeemable payments every 6 months (July and Jan).  The $330.00 nomination fee has been waived for these new members.

 

Junior Sailors up to the age of 18 - $20.00

 

Reciprocal Club Membership - $70.00 no nomination fee required

 

Parent Child Membership - This is a new membership and will suit the parent or adult who wants to sail with their child. This is perfect for Mirror sailors.  An adult and 1 x child who sail together will pay $100.00 total, the spouse / partner will receive a free social membership, and every additional child will be charged  $20.00 membership.  The sailing adult will be charged 2 x $60.00 redeemable payments every 6 months (July and Jan).

 

Conditions 

    These memberships are valid for 12 months only, after this time all new members will then be required to pay the standard full fees less a nomination fees.

          New members are asked to assist or participate in the club dinghy sailing program for the duration of the season when available.
