Clubhouse

Claremont Yacht Club offers our Members and their guests, bar and restaurant facilities with panoramic views across Freshwater Bay.

We also offer our Members social events in addition to weekly casual and formal dining options.

The highlight of the clubhouse is our bar & restaurant, with weekly buffets and à la carte dining options available on weekends.

The Members’ Bar at Claremont Yacht Club exudes all the character of a club tastefully evolved over 100 years. Features include the timeless bar, a full sized billiards table, historic memorabilia, an open fireplace and a sweeping outlook over Freshwater Bay from an elevated position.

The spacious Bayview Room offers a classical atmosphere, formal entrance, large dance floor and an exquisite view over Freshwater Bay. With immediate access to the Members’ Bar and catering provided by our Chef from the adjoining kitchen, the Bayview can cater for up to 175 seated guests or 200 guests at a cocktail event.

The modern Deepdene Room on the lower level of the clubhouse has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the bay and flows seamlessly onto a sheltered deck and lawn area with an equal view. The Deepdene room also features a full bar and the capacity to seat 70 guests or host a cocktail event for 100. With the river, just a few steps down and 40 meters away across a manicured lawn, this room is well connected with our marine playground

The Deepdene includes a dance floor, audio/visual capabilities and adjoining kitchen making it ideal for private parties, corporate seminars, professional development days or special dining experiences. Immediate access to the deck and lawn outside makes the Deepdene ideal for family activities.

Our lower lawn is abuzz with activity on Sunday and Wednesday mornings when dinghy members are rigging their boats before a Sunday or mid-week sail.  At other times the riverside lawn and the elevated lawn adjacent to the Deepdene room are a great place for kids to play while parents relax on Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
